My New Years Resolution

Ah, that! Well I promised myself that I would start writing a journal. I've been looking for a book to use, honest. Before Christmas I saw a lovely "Day Book" in a shop in town but of course they didn't have it when I went back to buy it. However, I did find this lovely book in Boots, just right for my jottings. OK so I'm a bit late starting, but I have started. The odd thing is, I've never kept a diary or journal and suddenly at my great age I feel the need to get it all down. I blame it on Shimelle! A few weeks ago I went to a workshop hosted by Shimelle and when she said to hand journal on our LOs, I did! I've been scrapbooking for about three or four years and almost all my LOs have printed journalling or no journalling at all on. Well done Shimelle for converting me.
Maybe I will share some of my ramblings with you at some stage!

I'm going crafting

I'm going to a workshop this evening, the first for ages. I can't even remember when I did a workshop last, I'm thinking it was a Christmas card one, so a good few weeks have passed I think.
It's the weekend, thank goodness. Another busy week at work and I'm pleased to have a couple of days off. Having said that it's not going to be restful. Tomorrow the family and I are going to Bristol to see the Ukulele Orchestra of GB. I'm looking forward to it but, as usual, I'm anxious about the journey. Sunday is our turn to money count at church. We've got that off to a fine art and takes almost no time at all - thanks to John's brilliance with numbers and spreadsheets and stuff.
I'm hoping to do some crafting on Sunday. I've bought the Mystery Kit for the cybercrop (coming up in a couple of weeks time on UKScrappers). I really do want to get on with it, I've got an idea of what to do it's just getting round to giving myself time to craft (and braving the freezing temperature of my craft room).
Well, I'm off now. See you later.

20th January 09 - Watching The Inauguration

So, it's an interesting time. I wonder how much of a change Barack Obama will make to the USA, to the world. I've just watched the inauguration ceremony and I've had goose bumps. I don't remember ever seeing an inauguration ceremony before, never mind actually enjoying watching. I wish him all the luck he is going to need and hope he fulfills all the hopes and dreams of so many people.

What a weekend

Another weekend without crafting!

I had to do h****w**k yesterday. I knew it was a bad idea, and that was confirmed when I tripped over the hairdryer flex and fell over. I don't think I've broken my big toe, but it's very bruised, swollen and really painful. That will teach me, won't it.

Today Clare went back to uni. She has an exam later this month so she decided to go back early to study. I expect she'll be "socialising" too! I will miss her, it's been lovely having her home.

I should have a LO or two to show you after tomorrow. Julia, Janine and I are getting together to work on our "Everyone Has A Story" album. We made a pact to get together once a month to work on our albums, but I've not had chance to think about mine recently.

Behind again!

So you see, I'm behind again. Behind with my blogging, behind with my Journal Your Christmas album!
Christmas has come and gone and I'm only up to page 13 of my album. In my defence, I have been away on holiday (and it was much warmer than it is here). Come to think about it, I'm behind with telling you about my last trip to LA! HeyHo, one day I will catch up.
